Riviera to Premiere sophisticated 4800 Sport Yacht at US Bay Bridge Boat Show
Australia’s premium luxury boat builder, Riviera, in conjunction with US east coast representative Grande Yachts International, will proudly Premiere the sophisticated 4800 Sport Yacht at the Bay Bridge Boat Show in Stevensville, Maryland, opening on April 12.
Grande Yachts International dealer principal Bryan Braley said he and his team are proud to showcase this luxurious model to US east coast motor yachting enthusiasts at the Bay Bridge Marina.
“The alfresco layout of Riviera’s 4800 Sport Yacht, merging the welcoming and superbly equipped cockpit space with a luxurious and comfortable interior, is emblematic of Riviera motor yachts.
“Riviera and Grande Yachts International are extremely committed to fulfilling the lifestyle dreams of America’s discerning motor yacht owners,” said Mr Braley.
“Over almost 40 years, Riviera has launched more than 5,400 yachts and has developed an internationally regarded heritage for innovative design. Every motor yacht is developed and built to handle the often challenging blue-water conditions of Australia’s coastlines.
“The highly-awarded international designers, engineers and master craftsmen at Riviera’s yard in Australia are continually refining the designs and easy-to-use technology and equipment aboard these motor yachts that make the joy of Riviera ownership a sheer pleasure,” he said.

The distinctive features of Riviera’s Sport Yacht Collection are embedded deeply in the DNA of the 4800: sleek styling, luxurious single-level living and entertaining layout and superb sea-keeping capabilities.
The highly efficient hull of 4800 Sport Yacht is a warped plane with turn-down chines, running strakes and a keel. It is designed both to maximise performance taking into account the Volvo Penta IPS parameters and Riviera’s extensive experience spanning more than a decade with the IPS system.
From the cockpit, with its generous seating on two lounges, wet bar and double barbecue to an entertainment zone on the forward deck with its large sun pad with folding back rest, this is a sport yacht designed for entertaining.
Natural light fills the expansive interior living space with its aft galley and spacious dinette opposite. An electric salon sunroof slides open for additional light and fresh air, or an amazing view of the stars at night.
The command centre of the 4800 Sport Yacht in the port fore quarter of the salon features the latest Volvo Penta and Garmin Glass Cockpit navigation and systems monitoring, with two 12-inch multi-function screens.
The 4800’s accommodation layout gives owners an atrium lower lounge. The luxurious master stateroom forward features large hull windows for natural lighting, a queen-sized walk-around bed and a contemporary styled en suite. The guest cabin amidships features three adult-sized single beds. A second bathroom is on the port side immediately forward of this cabin.
Power and performance for the 4800 Sport Yacht is provided by the Volvo Penta D8-IPS700 propulsion system with twin D8 engines delivering 550hp/405kW each and IPS20 pod-drives that deliver very impressive fuel efficiency, low noise levels, longer cruising range, high top-end speed and exceptional manoeuvrability through joystick control.
With Riviera, all Volvo Penta systems, drives, engines and Glass Cockpit electronics are covered by an industry-leading five-year limited warranty to complement Riviera’s structural five-year limited warranty.
